About
Hi, I'm Piotr.
30 Years of Code: From 48 Kilobytes to Modern Ecosystems
My programming journey began when the pinnacle of home computing was the ZX Spectrum+. If you still remember the screeching sound of loading programs from cassette tapes, you know exactly where I’m coming from. I started with BASIC, quickly moved to Assembly to feel the raw power of the hardware, and eventually evolved through Pascal, C, and C++.
Three decades later, code isn't just my job — it's my native language. I’ve transitioned from optimizing every single byte of RAM to architecting complex modern systems.
Where Logic Meets Art
I’ve never been able to separate programming from creativity. For me, code is an artistic tool:
Graphics & Shaders: I don't just render images only — I program them. I write my own shaders and custom tools to bring visual visions to life.
GameDev Roots: My passion for tinkering with engines led me to work on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Lost Alpha, where I was responsible for engine code and shaders.
Music: When the IDE closes, the DAW opens. My compositions roam through various landscapes — from epic symphonic scores and dark electronica to heavy metal.
Tactics Over Chaos
In life, as in code and gaming, I value strategy and precision. You won’t find me in run-and-gun shooters where it’s all about twitch reflexes (with just one exception: Tom Clancy's The Division, all of its parts - but that it thanks to the mood and setup. And... friends). Instead, I thrive in tactical environments like Ready Or Not, Ghost Recon, or Gray Zone Warfare.
I like to do things slowly, with a clear head and an eye for detail. Whether I’m planning a breach in-game or designing a new system architecture, I believe that haste is the ultimate enemy of quality.
